Sankt Augustin, Germany-On 23 March, polyurethane equipment specialist Hennecke GmbH is inaugurating a state-of-the-art spraying and metering centre for PU processing technologies at its site in Sankt Augustin near Bonn.This new spraying and metering centre at Hennecke's technical lab will, "not only prove the company's innovation potential and technological leadership in PU processing. It also underlines its close and successful cooperation with Bayer MaterialScience AG," said Hennecke's statement. Hennecke aims to open up new business opportunities with the new centre, through innovative technologies. Also, the centre will be used for process development and raw material testing under mass production conditions.Other uses include training, customer demonstrations and matching tests, as well as pilot-and small batch production runs, said Hennecke.The new unit represents a "comprehensive service expansion," allowing Hennecke "to take the offensive," said the company. Hennecke will be able to keep track of the growing demand from customers for involving partners in raw materials, technologies and machine engineering in the development process at a very early stage. The aim is to design customized solutions suited for mass production together, Hennecke indicated. Hennecke said high-ranking specialists and executives, experts from the PU industry as well as numerous representatives from the trade press are expected to attend the opening ceremony.The guests will be welcomed by Peter Vanacker, head of the Polyurethanes Business Unit of Bayer MaterialScience AG, and Rudolf Brumund, managing director of Hennecke GmbH.
