The new machine is available in three sizes covering most customer requirements, each with 1:1 and 1:2 mixing ratios. This allowed production costs for the machine to be cut significantly.
Upgrades to the machines include a 7-inch Simatic HMI. This, the company said, offers the “ideal environment” for its Foamatic control software, which includes visualisation and data analysis functions. This, it said, gives maximum performance, and is also more efficient and safer.
The Impact Mk2 also includes the company’s Blue Intelligence, which combines a range of measures for mechanical, thermal and hydraulic efficiency. These, Hennecke said, facilitate more economical usage of energy and raw materials. It also has an optional standby mode, saving energy during production breaks while allowing production to be resumed quickly.
Various features remain unchanged, including the easy-maintenance Ultimix low-pressure mixheads. These, it said, ensure homogenous mixing of the reactive components, and will also allow the direct metering of colours into the mixing chamber in the future. The metering system is also unchanged.
It is also being sold through new channels: it can be bought from external distributors and also the new Next-Gen online store, which allows customers to configure and order machines directly. Shipping should also be cheaper because of design optimisations, and several machines can be shipped in a single standard container.
“We are proud to be able to offer the Impact Mk2 at an extremely attractive starting price,” said Pia Diekmann, the company’s sales manager for metering machines. “With this ultra-compact entry-level device, even smaller companies and users can benefit from Hennecke’s premium quality and highest production standards.”
The machine was first shown at PU China back in July, and is now available to order.
