Hickory, North Carolina -- Hickory Springs Mfg. has promoted four executives in its foam division, part of a continuing company-wide realignment strategy.
Hickory Springs, a major US components supplier to the furniture, bedding and other industries, said the promotions are part of an "aggressive campaign" to ensure the company is in a position to "pursue new growth and diversification."
David Duncan has been promoted to vice president of the Western Foam division, with sales and operational responsibility for operations in six locations in the west of the US. Duncan, who began his career with the company 18 years ago as a sales trainee, most recently was national product manager for bedding foam.
Mike Holliday has been appointed vice president of the Mid-Eastern division. He will continue to have sales and operational responsibility for the company's Hickory, North Carolina foam and fibre locations and will now be responsible for foam operations in three locations in Tennessee. Holliday has been with the company for 12 years as general manager of the foam and fibre operations in Hickory, North Carolina.
Scott Williamson is now general manager of the Mid-South region, with sales and operational responsibility for the foam division's Mississippi operations. He began his career with Hickory Springs 18 years ago as a sales trainee and most recently was area sales manager.
Todd Councilman has been promoted to general manager of the Southeast region. Councilman has been with the company for five years and most recently was commercial director for Olympic Products, located in Greensboro, North Carolina.
