Hickory, North Carolina -- Hickory Springs Manufacturing Co. Inc., has promoted three executives as part of the US company's strategy for growth and diversification.
As a manufacturer and international supplier of components for the furniture and bedding industries, Hickory Springs has 50 plants in 16 states and China,, and aims to further its reach with the new appointments.
Chief financial officer Stephen Ellis is responsible for finance, treasury, accounting and information technology functions. He also manages acquisition and joint venture work, and serves on the company's board of directors as treasurer and assistant secretary, Hickory Springs said in a statement.
Chief operations officer Lee Lunsford will also be taking on additional duties in his role, Hickory Springs commented. He will be in charge of ensuring manufacturing operations are efficient and meet customer requirements.
Dwayne Welch has been appointed chief sales and marketing officer. In this position, he will be responsible for domestic and international development of growth markets, and will oversee all aspects of sales and marketing within the corporation, the statement said.
