Portland, Maine – A new polyiso-based wall system from Hunter Panels is designed to increase building envelope performance and simplify jobsite demands. The company says the Xci Aegis wall system protects against the elements, and has high thermal efficiency.
The Xci composite polyiso panels attach to a structural base wall of fire-retardant treated wood, steel stud, concrete or CMU, which supports the cladding system. A weather-resistant barrier is then applied on top of the panels, protecting the seams and fastener penetrations from the elements.
Hunter claims the multi-functional materials provides a complete solution for insulation, backing and weather resistance. This, it said, makes for fewer trips around the building during installation.
Users can select Hunter Cxi Ply, Xci Ply (Class A) or Xci NB, depending on the building’s classification.
