Rozenburg, the Netherlands - Huntsman Polyurethanes has declared force majeure on MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) produced at its Rozenberg, the Netherlands plant following problems with two suppliers.
In 25 April telephone conversation, a spokesperson for the company confirmed that force majeure was declared on 22 April and that there was currently no timescale for it to be lifted.
Huntsman said problems at suppliers Akzo Nobel and Shin Etsu led to the declaration.
