Osnabruck, Germany – Huntsman's thermoplastic polyurethane (eTPU) team has formed a partnership with T. Michel Formenbau, a steam-mould maker.
Huntsman partners with T. Michel Formenbau over eTPU
The partnership will help plastic product manufacturers that want to explore the use of expanded TPU, said Huntsman.
The moulding company will offer a complete end-to-end material selection and steam-mould service. It will provide materials to use the specific applications, plus mould design, production and testing.
Both companies will also explore eTPU and steam-modern improvements
Huntsman will use T. Michel Foremanbau the technical centre in Lautert, Germany to demonstrate processing performance of its own materials. It will also use the site to assess new products with steam-moulding techniques.
Huntsman added that it will carry out steam-moulding trials and demonstrations, and customers will be able to evaluate its materials at the site.
The German company was founded in 2000 and employs around 50 people.
