The Woodlands, Texas -- Huntsman’s thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) division will highlight a range of technologies at the Society of Plastics Industry (SPI) NPE 2015 event in March, 2015.
The company’s Avalon TPU for the footwear sector - a lightweight material developed in the 1970s – will be showcased alongside its polyether-based thermoplastic polyurethane Irogran. The latter is used to sheath cables for domestic appliances found in the home and in heavy duty industrial and telecoms wiring applications.
Huntsman’s Krystalgran PE193-100 is a polyurethane - polyether, aliphatic product which can be processed by film extrusion. The company said its Krystalgran TPU safeguards tablets and smartphones screens and protects automotive bodies from chips and scratches.
