Shanghai, China - Huntsman Corp.'s Polyurethanes division is to increase prices in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region for its MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) grades by a minimum of $100 per tonne. The increase takes effect 1 July 2008, or as contracts allow, said the group.
"This price increase is required because of the continued rise in costs of our key raw materials against a background of sustained high growth rates for MDI across APAC," said Vincent Wang, vice president APAC for the Polyurethanes division, in Huntsman's statement.
