Friedrichshafen, Germany -- Huntsman Polyurethanes will promote its range of high-performance, polyester-based Irogran thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) for injection-moulding applications at Fakuma 2012.
Huntsman said Irogran is available from 70A to 65D shore hardness. It is designed for processing on standard machines and is compatible with a range of colour masterbatches, the chemical company said.
Central to the range is Irogran A 70 E 4675, which Huntsman says is a soft, versatile, engineering material with "outstanding" bond strength to a wide range of substrates. The company said it is widely used across the automotive industry in the manufacture of over-moulded items such as remote control car key fobs, sheets for dashboards, door and side panel cladding systems, and gear stick knobs.
Fakuma 2012 will be held 16-20 Oct in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
