Leslie, Michigan -- Huron Technologies has developed a solvent-based paste wax that it says remains thicker longer while delivering effective release and complete coverage.
Moulders need to apply Release Coating 8012 less often that other waxes, the company claims. The heavy duty paste wax is formulated for use in manufacturers' moulds, as well as along vertical surfaces, vents, on pins and wire locators.
Huron says additional benefits of the product include "exceptional" release and simple application. The Leslie, Michigan-based company also said in a 25 May news release that the coating maintains its paste-like consistency to accommodate high ambient plant temperatures up to 110°F (43°C), and effortlessly clings to vertical mould surfaces, coating previously hard-to-reach areas.
