Dearborn, Michigan -- International Automotive Components Group North America is adding more acoustics and flooring business to its auto interiors product line with the acquisition of Stankiewicz International Corp. of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
IAC bought Stankiewicz's European flooring and acoustics operations in 2009 from Gimotive GmbH. The acquisition of the North American operations for an undisclosed amount brings the Dearborn-based company a manufacturing campus with three factories and $30 million in annual sales.
The bulk of Stankiewicz's production is in nonwoven acoustics and carpets. IAC anticipates its sales will hit $50 million in 2011 on the strength of upcoming contracts.
