Beer-Sheva, Israel -- ICL Industrial Products (ICL-IP) has changed the names of some of its subsidiaries, to "reflect the company's unified structure and the integration of its newly acquired phosphorous business, Supresta, into ICL Industrial Products," said a 24 July statement from ICL.
- Ameribrom Inc. (St Louis) becomes ICL-IP America Inc.
- Eurobrom BV becomes ICL-IP Europe BV
- Asiabrom Ltd becomes ICL ASIA Ltd
- Bromokem (Far East) Ltd becomes ICL-IP JAPAN Ltd
- Broomchemie BV becomes ICL-IP Terneuzen BV
ICL acquired Supresta from Ripplewood in August 2007, with the aim of diversifying ICL Industrial Products' portfolio of flame retardants, strengthening its activities in the polyurethane foam and engineering plastics markets, while also enhancing its geographic reach.
This name change is part of ICL's integration of the Supresta units into ICL Industrial Products, to fully realise the existing operating synergies between ICL-IP bromine and phosphorous business activities, said the company.
ICL-IP Industrial Products is one of ICL's three operating segments. It produces bromine, magnesia and chlorine from Dead Sea brines, and makes and markets a large variety of flame retardants, bromides for industry, agriculture and water-treatment products, as well as a range of magnesia products, phosphorous and chlorine-based products for industrial and pharmaceutical uses.
