Brussels — Spray foam insulation manufacturer Icynene has announced it will take control of distribution within Benelux after Delhez Systems ended its seven year contract.
Speaking on behalf of Icynene Europe, Pan Consulting’s Alain de Lombard, said that although Icynene had not actively sought to end the deal with Belgium-based Delhez Systems, the decision was good one for Icynene. He said the contract had been due to expire in mid-2016 adding:“There was no animosity but the yearly gross was not good enough,” he said.
He said the company is currently developing a range of products for the European market using HFO blowing agent technology and was keen to grow its share of Europe’s market.
“We had wanted to Delhez to invest in its selling team but Delhez did not want to do that. We will be investing where Delhez Systems did not,” he said.
Lombard said the intention was to make Icynene "number one in terms of market share in Europe", as he claimed, "Icynene is in North America."
Icynene has launched a new website www.icynene.be focusing on Benelux markets, specifically Belgium and the Netherlands.
