Hartford, Connecticut -- Gold Bond Mattress' new collection will be featured in independent sleep shops before major retailers, according to industry publication Furniture World.
Part of Gold Bond's EcoSense line of eco-friendly, US-made mattresses, the range called Cool Response Gel is designed to be cooler, more durable and to circulate airflow more quickly in order to remove body heat quicker than other foams.
"Independent retailers would typically not see new foam technologies trickle down to the value segment until at least two or three years later," said Gold Bond President Robert Naboicheck.
He added, "Together with our partner VyMaC, we have been more aggressive developing this offering to bring it our customers sooner, satisfying their needs while helping to open the market for the next generation of gel beds."
Gold Bond aims to help independent retailers who rely on product differentiation, among other benefits, to compete with larger retailers.
The line offers three models and combines an open-cell gel foam construction with supportive 'AcellaFlex' foam made from recycled polymer.
Connecticut-based Gold Bond is a family-operated, independent mattress manufacturer that makes memory foam and latex foam products, sold in 40 states and five countries.
