London-The Initial Programme for the UTECH Europe 2006 conference has just been issued, giving details of the wide range of topics to be covered during the three-day event, running 28-30 March 2006 in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
More than 50 original technical presentations will be made in 12 main and sub-sessions, covering all the main topics of interest to manufacturers of rigid and flexible foams as well as more specialised applications in the CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers) sector. A handful of presentations of more innovative technologies will complete the technical programme.
The event will open with a series of presentations relating to the main developing markets of eastern Europe, India and, of course, the People's Republic of China. These presentations, combining the knowledge of international experts and PU industry insiders, will aim to give companies interested in investing in these regions an idea of the opportunities these regions present and the difficulties that might be encountered, hence its title: Developing markets: The opportunities and pitfalls.
A final important segment, organised by ISOPA, the European Isocyanate and Polyol Producers Association, will highlight the on-going development of environmental health and safety requirements across the industry. This session will also call on the knowledge and resources of specialists inside the polyurethanes sector as well as in the chemical industry at large, both in Europe and North America.
