Oxfordshire, UK – The new Point-One structural polyurethane adhesives from Intertronics have a free diisocyanate content that is sufficiently low that mandatory training in safe handling under the EU’s new scheme is not required, as they fall below the 0.1% w/w limit.
The fast-curing, two-part adhesives form strong and durable bonds in 10 minutes, while also being resistant to moisture and many solvents. They are also free from VOCs and solvents.
The adhesives are available in both black and white colours. The black adhesive, IRS 3223-B, has a working time of 3.5min, while for the white version, IRS 3221-A, it is 1.5min.
The white adhesive has UV resistance, and both are suitable for a wide range of substrates, including plastics, metals, wood, concrete and ceramics. Applications include automotive aftermarket uses, caravan and trailer repair and manufacture, and outdoor signage and lighting.
The adhesives are mixed and applied via pre-measured twin syringe cartridges with static mixing nozzles, and have a shelf-life of 24 months.
