Wimington, North Carolina - Invista Specialty Materials is introducing a new line of polyols, Terate HT, initially for rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) and polyurethane boardstock uses. The Wilmington, North Carolina-based group says the addition improves its polyols portfolio to meet evolving customer needs across the globe.
"For more than 35 years, our customers have chosen Terate polyols because of they perform well in rigid-foam production and are provided with excellent technical support," said Bill Trowell, business director for Terate polyols, in a 6 Oct press statement. "Our new HT series adds to these benefits with improved performance in processability, adhesion and colour."
This addition to the Terate polyols line comes at a time when the speciality materials business is seeing growth, according to Invista. "With a strong business base for Terate polyols already in North America and Europe, Invista is now seeing increased demand in other markets across the world," the company commented.
"We are excited to pursue these growth opportunities in both established and emerging markets," Trowell added. "With our new series of polyols, we can offer versatility and improved performance, backed by our recogniSed technical support to help our customers grow."
Initially the new Terate HT polyol platform will be focussed on uses in rigid PIR and polyurethane boardstock, but announcements will be made for additional applications such as polyurethane spray foam, Invista said.
