Wichita, Kansas – Invista has been recognised by the American Fuels and Petrochemicals Association (AFPM) for safety excellence at three sites – Wilmington, North Carolina, and both Orange and Victoria in Texas. The awards were presented at the recent AFPM National Occupational and Process Safety Conference, held in San Antonio, Texas.
The AFPM Meritorious Safety Performance Award was given to all three facilities for achieving an employee total recordable incident rate of 0.6 or less during the 2015 calendar year. The three sites were also all given the Award for Safety Achievement (Years), and the two Texas sites the Award for Safety Achievement (Employee Hours).
