London - IOM3, the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, has launched an industry affiliate scheme to assist organisations with their materials queries. The scheme aims to help companies that may not have in-house expertise to select materials for their product ranges.
The scheme has two levels of membership, affiliate level and full membership level. The full membership gives participants unlimited access to IOM3 events, workshops and training courses at a discounted member rate. Members also receive a free consultation with the materials advisor for either advice on material selection or the development of a training course.
IOM3 said it also provides full members with free and unlimited access to its information service help desk, and a free copy of Materials World, the institute's monthly magazine.
