Compton, California – IPS has acquired Canadian company Integra Adhesives. The Abbotsford, British Columbia-based Integra specialises in engineered stone adhesives.
It will become part of IPS’s Scigrip division, headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, which makes methacrylate-based specialty adhesives.
Polyurethane-based adhesives are included in the Integra range, alongside methacrylate and epoxy products. It focuses on specialty adhesives for the permanent binding of engineered stone, natural stone, quartz and solid-surfing building products and interior finishes such as counter tops. The company claims its business has grown rapidly in the past five years, as a result of the increasing use of engineered stone.
“We are excited to welcome Integra into the IPS family, and to continue Integra’s tradition of excellence in quality, R&D and service,” said John Reeves, president of the Scigrip division. “Together with Integra, we will be even better positioned to serve our valued customers, and improve our product offerings to the structural and specialty adhesives marketplace.”
