Chennai, India - Next year sees the third PU TECH exhibition and conference organised by the Indian Polyurethane Association, to be held on 9 - 11 March 2011, in Greater Noida, New Delhi, India.
A call for papers for this meeting issued by the IPUA 14 May, comments that the Indian PU market is currently at about 200 kilotonnes per annum, and is expected to double in the coming four to five years. India is unique, the IPUA notes, as a large democracy with a strong educational base, and a population of almost 100 million.
Since the PU sector offers great scope for growth, participation in the event will offer suppliers an opportunity to develop and expand their share in this rapidly developing market.
IPUA expects visitors to the three-day exhibition and one-and-a-half day conference to include representatives from the SAARC region (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation - India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka. Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan), as well as from South-East Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
The organisers are calling for papers on polyurethane processing and innovations, with specific relevance to the needs of the SAARC region -- and a non-commercial focus.
Techno-commercial presentations looking at consumer needs, regional market trends, as well as papers on health and safety and environmental aspects are also welcome.
According to the IPUA, it would prefer presentations relevant to several specific focus segments for the event; these include construction, medical and sports goods, transport, furniture and bedding.
Prospective presenters should submit a brief summary of what they wish to talk about by 30 June 2010, with a abstract and author biography by 31 Aug 2010. Full papers are due by 15 Dec 2010.
