Greater Noida, India – The Indian Polyurethane Association (IPUA) and Gautam Buddha University (GBU) are jointly introducing a one-year Post-Graduate Diploma aimed at people in the polyurethane industry. The course features an Industrial internship.
IPUA works with university to launch PU diploma
The program designed to meet industry's need for technically competent people with a knowledge of polyurethanes.
Mahesh N Gopalasamudram, chairman, IPUA said at the signing ceremony in early January: 'This marks a milestone for the Polyurethane Industry in India. On maturity this program will expand as a global resource pool for the industry'.
The Indian Polyurethane industry is growing, and it needs skilled employees who could run the industry in the future. This is in line with India's national 'Make in India' initiative. That programme aims to support the manufacturing industry with right level of knowledge, skill and experience.
GBU & IPUA signed a memorandum of understanding early January, starting the process to get the course underway. They hope to make India the global skill capital of Polyurethane Industry.
