Navan, Ireland -- Rigid board insulation producer Xtratherm is getting ready to lay the first stones of its new high speed insulation line at a plant in the Walloon region of Belgium.
The company told UTECH-polyurethane.com the 15,000m2 facility will comprise warehouse and production facilities.
Xtratherm hopes to build on its sales growth across Europe so the new plant, close to the city of Charleroi, is a strategic move to improve access to the markets that would previously have been supplied by Xtratherm’s Ireland and UK-based manufacturing sites.
Eoghan Hynes, founder and md of Xtratherm, said: “Xtratherm has ambitious growth plans and key mainland European markets such as Benelux, Germany and France are central to these objectives.”
The new plant will create approximately 100 jobs, the company said.
