Santa Ana, California - Urethane weights manufacturer Iron Grip Barbell Company has completed the third stage of its long-term expansion plan which includes new automated manufacturing equipment worth $1.5 million.
''Our state-of-the-art facility is unlike any other free weight manufacturing facility in the world,'' Iron Grip president Michael Rojas said.
''Overseas manufacturing processes typically depend largely on manual, labour-intensive techniques and on equipment that often hasn't changed in decades.''
The expansion also includes improvements to Iron Grip's proprietary urethane operation, including its customisation arm which operates computer-controlled engravers.
