Brussels – Isopa and Alipa have released a version of their Safe Use of Diisocyanates safety training for global audiences. It builds on their comprehensive online training for industrial and professional users of diisocyanates in the EU. This was introduced to meet regulatory requirements for ensuring their safe use and handling.
The training will be offered in several additional languages to ensure accessibility. Over the coming months, training will be added in Hindi, Turkish, Arabic, Russian, Japanese and Mandarin. “Our industry is global, and so should our safety practices be,” they said.
Safe Use of Diisocyanates is the new name for the associations’ three previous product stewardship programmes, Walk the Talk, One Step Ahead and Safeguard – we care that you care. They said that combining the three under one umbrella will provide a streamlined approach to promoting safety across the industry.
“Isopa, Alipa and our member companies remain committed to promoting the highest safety standards on the handling of diisocyanates within the EU and globally by bringing together safety experts, industry leaders, and workers,” they said. “Under our Safe Use of Diisocyanates programme, we continue to provide vital safety training to realise this. This commitment is an integral part of our broader responsibility to sustainable practices.”
