Brussels - The European Diisocyanate and Polyol Producers Association, ISOPA, led by secretary general Dr Wolfram Frank, has updated its website.
The group said the modern look and feel of the site allows it to better "demonstrate the work of the association, and to continue our engagement with our members and those with an interest in discovering more about the production and manufacture of polyurethanes."
ISOPA represents European manufacturers of aromatic diisocyanates and polyols, the main raw materials for polyurethanes. On the website, interested parties can find information on the association and what it does, as well as on the benefits of members' products and of polyurethanes to society.
This website also contains a considerable amount of information on the environmental, health and safety aspects of these chemicals and is designed to help "the responsible use of polyurethanes and their raw materials through their life cycles" ISOPA said.
As an example, the ISOPA site offers as a key document to download: a position paper on classification and labelling of MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate).
ISOPA activities include:
• promoting the highest standards of best practice in the distribution and use of diisocyanates and polyols
• ensuring that all stakeholders can easily access accurate and up-to-date information on diisocyanates and polyols
* showing how polyurethanes help fulfill society's present and future needs
