Tokyo — Polyurethane production in Japan fell by 8.1% in February 2020, compared with the same month in 2019.
The figures come from Japan’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
In total, Japan produced 15.1 kT of polyurethane in February 2020. This compares with 16.38 kT in February 2019. The fall in production was 1324 tonne.
The country produced 10.2 kT of flexible foam in February 2020 down 572 tonne on February 2019. The nation produced 4.9 kT of rigid foam in February 2020.This compares with 5.6 kT in the same month in 2019.
