Tillsonburg, Ontario - Johnson Controls is to lay off around 70 employees from its Tillsonburg plant in Ontario by 15 Nov according to reports in local Canadian press.
The plant, currently producing foam for automotive seating, is to eliminate an entire shift of employees according to Deborah Lacey, a Johnson Controls spokesperson quoted in the reports.
Lacey is reported to have said the layoffs are a result of a competitive automotive market, and are necessary to cut costs.
