Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Automotive seating maker Johnson Controls is to shut down its Oberlin, Ohio plant in August.The plant which makes seats for Ford Motor Co.'s E-series vans is closing due to "loss of business" said the company's spokesperson in an 8 June telephone conversation.'Most' of the company's 145 workers are set to lose their jobs, but the spokesperson could not reveal the actual number.Johnson has remained profitable during the downturn in the business and made $228 million (L116 million) during its last fiscal quarter.
