Zory, Poland -- Johnson Controls has launched a new PU foam components production line at its plant in Zory, 400 km (250 m) southwest of Warsaw. By the end of 2019, the company aims to invest some PLN 80m (€20m) in the factory and increase its workforce.
The plant supplies a number of car brands, including Opel, Ford, Fiat, and Volkswagen Group. The second line will make PU components for premium automotive brands, such as Porsche and Audi, and in the future it is to produce parts for Lamborghini, according to the information obtained by local news site Wnp.pl.
The new production line is the second one to be launched at the Polish plant, which is located in the Jastrzebsko-Zorska economic zone. This investment has almost doubled production area from 9,000 m2 to 17,500 m2, the company said.
Johnson Controls bought a stake in the Zory plant from Proseat, a Recticel-Woodbridge jv in 2011.
