La Mirada, California -- US speciality chemicals distributor E.T. Horn Co. has hired Juliette Lim as vice president of key accounts for its Coatings and Building Materials Group.
Lim was a technical sales representative for Tri-iso Inc. of Claremont, California for nine years and before that was a project leader for Irvine-based Deft Coatings for five years. At Deft Coatings, she received the prestigious national R&D 100 Award in 1999 for developing a series of extended life polyurethane coatings for the US military, based upon novel fluoropolymer chemistry. She has also been a chemist at PRC-DeSoto (now PPG), Courtaulds Aerospace and Dexter Midland and International Paint.
"We're extremely fortunate to have someone of Juliette's technical capabilities and formulating skills joining the E.T. Horn sales team at this time," said E.T. Horn Coatings & Building Materials Group vice president of sales Vince Anderson, in E.T. Horn's 19 March announcement. According to Anderson, Lim will be managing many of the larger industrial coatings accounts.
The new role is, "a great fit for my background and training as a chemist and sales representative in the coatings industries," said Lim.
