Kingscourt, Ireland -- Kingspan Insulated Panels has launched a new business unit, Cleanroom Systems.
The new unit builds on the firm’s acquisition of Isocab Retan in 2012 and, Kingspan said, it has invested almost EUR6.7m ($7.6m) on product development and the addition of state-of-the-art manufacturing capability.
UltraTech, the firm's cleanroom brand, comprises the flush, semi-flush and precision ranges of integrated panels, doors, windows, hatches and interfaces, the firm said.
"The flush and semi-flush range of panels will use Kingspan’s recently launched IPN-QuadCore, the construction industry’s most advanced insulated panel core delivering optimised thermal, environmental and fire performance," said a company press release.
Kingspan claims the IPN-QuadCore is the first closed cell insulated panel core to be certified to FM 4882 for use in smoke sensitive occupancies, "so is ideal for use in high-specification cleanroom environments", the press release added. IPN-QuadCore was elected ‘Best Technology’ winner at the Architects’ Choice Awards at the 2015 RIAI Architecture Expo in Dublin this year.
IPN-QuadCore, our revolutionary new core material for insulated panels, has been commended for its quality and innovation by an esteemed panel of judges.
