Lustenau, Austria -- In September 2012, pump maker Kral will introduce a new sensor for its Volumeter using Kral flow measurement technology. These meters are used in the polyurethane sector for measuring flow rates of the liquid polyols and isocyanate raw materials.
Kral says its OMG, OMH and OME series are being optimised, with a new sensor system that increases the maximum temperature for OMG and OMH from 150°C to 180°C, and provides better resolution.
According to Kral, the innovative sensor is an all-in-one solution which measures flow amount, flow direction and temperature. Thanks to miniaturisation and system integration, a single sensor is now sufficient where three used to be required, the Lustenau, Austria-based company says.
The new sensor system is located in a connection box, and the easily-accessible terminal strip makes connecting the Volumeter easier, Kral said.
The new connection box is standardised for all models, types and sizes. It enables cable entries of up to 13 mm diameter via the M20 x 1.5 thread while providing the alternative of using a connector.
In combination with the Kral Volumeter, the rugged design of the connection box "ensures the ideal prerequisites for measuring liquids, even under the roughest operating conditions," the manufacturer claims.
The pump maker says its Volumeter gives high-precision flow measurement for perfect polyurethanes.
As a result, the meter "guarantees exact adherence to formulations for flawless PU products."
