Querétaro, Mexico -- KraussMaffei de México S de RL de CV has opened a $40 000 workshop for repairing pumps used in polyurethane processing machinery, unveiling it at its technical centre in the city of Querétaro, 130 miles northwest of Mexico City, on the first of two open days held in early September.
"We have 27 clients using KraussMaffei (PU) machines in Mexico and 150 companies in total in the country processing PU," Eduardo Gutiérrez, of the German company's PU sales division in Mexico, told Urethanes Technology International.
Explaining the reason for launching the service locally, he said "we used to send all the pumps to Germany for repair." Robert Bosch GmbH, of Stuttgart, Germany, has stopped offering a repair service for pumps in Mexico, enabling KraussMaffei to fill the gap, Gutiérrez added.
KraussMaffei in Mexico is an affiliate of KraussMaffei AG, of Munich, Germany.
