Munich, Germany -- KraussMaffei Andina (Bogota) is now able to offer service and sales support to KraussMaffei's reaction process machinery customers. The company said this change has "strengthened its presence in this rapidly growing market by ensuring that customers have competent partners," in injection and reaction moulding.
The merger of sales and service activities continues the company's "one face to the customer" strategy and KraussMaffei claims it offers them by far the most closely meshed service network in Columbia, Venezuela and Central America.
KraussMaffie says that rapid response to service calls, and spare parts that arrive quickly are "extremely important" for suppliers of components for motor bikes and buses.
"We link directly to the spare parts system in Munich, so we can access stock information on line, trigger spare parts shipments and also complete all the import formalities - including customs clearance," said Carlos Cadavid, head of KraussMaffei Andina, in the company's 22 July statement. This slashes order lead times, so that local customers get the spare parts they need as fast as possible, the company says.
"With joined up know-how and by bundling our products and services, we can significantly strengthen our market presence," added Cadavid.
KraussMaffei adds that it is systematically expanding its presence in Columbia, Venezuela and Central America (Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Panama, Honduras).
