Warren, Michigan - KraussMaffei Corp. kicked off 2013 by presenting an operating version of its GX series to an audience of experts during a "TechDay" at its plant in Warren, Michigan, held with Proper Group International, its partner in mould and process technology.
KraussMaffei said customers from the automotive and packaging/logistics industries were impressed by the new GX series which it says is suited to many different injection moulding processes thanks to its efficiency and extensive options.
One technique the machines can be used for is the SkinForm procedure for premium-quality polyurethane surfaces on thermoplastic carriers in a production cell.

"We supply machines, automation technology, mould technology and the trim solution, which are all based on our expert knowledge."
In the US, KraussMaffei and Proper Group have been cooperating since 2010 as part of a strategic partnership for turnkey solutions for processing polyurethane. Both partners also use the joint technology centre of Proper in Warren where KraussMaffei injection moulding machines with a clamping force of between 800 and 27 000 kN are available for development, testing and mould proving.
At the event, Paul Caprio, ceo of KraussMaffei Corp., said, "We received a large number of orders for machines last year, a fact which proves that the American market developed very positively," adding that the group has also have made a good start to the current fiscal year.
