Cologne, Germany – Lanxess has announced that CFO Michael Pontzen is leaving the company at the end of August to take up a CFO role outside Germany. He will be replaced by Oliver Stratmann, who joined the company from Celanese in 2004, and has led its treasury & investor relations department since 2015.
“The chemical industry is facing extreme challenges – so it’s good that we have an experienced colleague joining the board who knows the markets and the company extremely well,” Matthias Zachert, the company’s board chairman, said. “I wish him a successful start.”
