Lanzhou, Gansu – Lanzhou Ketian broke ground on the country’s first waterborne PU industrial park with RMB8bn ($1.3bn) investment in northwestern China’s Lanzhou, Gansu province on March 17, 2014.
The park measures 800,000m2 with a 200kT/year capacity for waterborne coatings and PU insulation panels, an 80m m2/year capacity for waterborne PU leather, a 200kT/year capacity for waterborne resins including PU and PA resins, and a 1,000kT/year capacity for SAP.
The new park is expected to have China’s largest waterborne PU production line and bring in RMB26bn annual production value when completed in two to three years.
Lanzhou Ketian is a subsidiary of waterborne PU and PU panel maker Hefei Ketian Chemical Industry. The parent company claims to have the most advanced research centre for waterborne PU in China.
