Houston, Texas – Lapolla Industries has added a new spray polyurethane foam insulation to its product range. Foam-Lok 400 is an open-cell SPF that can be used in both domestic and commercial settings, and requires no mixing.
The company says that it is particularly appropriate for use in cavity walls and attics, and other areas where the presence of insulation is critical. It provides a continuous air barrier and reduces heat transfer, thus cutting both heating and cooling costs. Further benefits include improved soundproofing, and a reduction in unmanaged moisture.
Lapolla claims that its high yield will also reduce material costs for contractors, as well as performing better than both fibreglass and blown-in insulation products. It also says that its costs are competitive with more traditional forms of insulation.
“We believe demand for this insulation will be high for use in new and retrofit home and commercial applications,” said Doug Kramer, Lapolla’s president and chief executive.
The product meets building code requirements with no additional ignition barrier, and has passed the AC 377 end use configuration criteria.
