Virginia, US – Trade association Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) is on the hunt for a new executive director after Rick Duncan announced that he will be retiring in April 2024. He will remain with the organisation in a consultancy capacity as technical director.
Leadership change coming at SPFA as executive director announces retirement
Duncan took on the executive director role at the height of the pandemic in September 2020. Prior to this he had been the organisation’s technical director, a position he had held since 2008. Previous roles include a decade in new product development for CertainTeed/Saint Gobain Insulation, and a marketing role for SPF at Honeywell.
“Our organisation and members have benefitted immensely from the commitment and leadership Rick Duncan provided daily as executive director these past few years,” said SPFA president Bonnie Strickler. “Enhancements to our membership and offerings, as well as the growth and success of the annual SprayFoam Convention & Expo, have been notable and we are incredibly grateful for Rick’s role in that. We all want to congratulate him on his retirement and are thrilled that he has decided to remain with us as our technical director.”
