Shanghai, China – Rigid foam maker Lecron started construction of the 50kT/year polyether polyol facility in March 2014 and is expecting its full operation this October, said the company to UTECH-polyurethane.com in an exclusive interview at the PU China exhibition held here 3-5 September 2014.
This is the second phase of its polyether polyol project, and the first phase with a 30kT/year capacity was completed in March 2014.
The company is also planning to open a new research center for polyurethane and other chemical products with RMB20m ($3.3m) investment at its headquarters in Zibo, Shandong province in October.
“This would be a first-class research center in Asia,” said Liu Dengmei, sales director of the company. “Construction of the center began in February 2014 and has been finished. We are now recruiting talent.”
