Bolton, UK - Specialist industrial coatings supplier Leighs Paints is now trading as Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings, following its acquisition by the Sherwin-Williams Co. in July 2011.
The company, which is part of the Sherwin-Williams Co. global finishes group, said 25 Jan that it will continue to manufacture its Firetex range of passive fire protection (PFP) products, as well as its range of high-performance anti-corrosive coding solutions, including urethane products.
"Sherwin-Williams and Leighs Paints share many similarities in our history, our culture and our commitment to customer service and, by pooling our resources and expertise, we will continue to develop and deliver innovative coating technologies to support our customers," commented Gordon Bell, general manager Protective & Marine Coatings (EMEA) at Sherwin-Williams.
The company plans to expand its portfolio and grow its presence in markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
