The Woodlands, Texas – SI Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Chinese additive manufacturer Liaoning Dingjide Petrochemical. SI’s product portfolio includes additives for polyurethanes, notably antioxidants.
Liaoning Dingjide will manufacture various SI Group products in China as a co-producer, and SI plans stop its Chinese manufacturing operations in Jinshan at the end of July. The site will be sold.
SI will continue to sell the products in China, as well as distributing them elsewhere. It also plans to relocate its Jinshan R&D facilities, and will continue to operate its remaining Chinese offices and manufacturing facility.
“By partnering with Dingjide, SI Group is able focus on establishing global performance additives leadership through its global sales and marketing reach and investments in innovation, while optimising our footprint and variabilising our cost structure,” said Joey Gullion, the company’s chief commercial officer.
