Toronto, Ontario - Those wishing to attend the International Lignin Biochemicals conference being held 17/18 Nov 2010 at the Sheraton Airport Hotel, Toronto can register up till this Friday (12 Nov).
The meeting has presentations on lignin sources and its biorefining and production technology, on lignin's use as a biobased substituent in industrial polymers, and on conversion and utilisation programmes to exploit the material in plastics and composites.
Lignin is also being investigated as a non-food biological source of polyols for the polyurethanes sector, an aspect that will be covered in some of these presentations.
Delegates have the option of a tour of the Centre for Biocomposites and Biomaterials Processing at the University of Toronto, after the meeting concludes.
Attendance at the meeting, organised by the Ontario BioAuto Council, costs CDN$500 (students CDN$250).
