Wiesbaden, Germany -- Linde Group is to expand industrial gas supply to Hungarian chemical company BorsodChem's main production site in Kazincbarcika.
Linde and BorsodChem announced 23 May that they plan to enter into a long-term supply agreement for additional supply of around 150 kilotonnes of carbon monoxide and hydrogen per year. This will be used in BorsodChem's expansion of its isocyanate production.
"With new investments of approximately Euros 100 million, complementing the three existing plants, this location will become one of Linde's top five production sites for hydrogen and carbon monoxide worldwide", said Dr Aldo Belloni, member of the executive board of Linde AG.
Linde is a major supplier of industrial and medical gases and also an engineering company with more than 51 000 employees in around 70 countries. Following its acquisition of BOC Group plc, the company has annual sales of around Euros 12 000 million. "
