Westlake, Ohio - Nordson Corp has launched the Champion air- assisted airless (AAA) liquid spray system, which it says is designed for easy adjustments, to deliver smooth, even coating coverage with high transfer efficiency and minimal overspray.
This spray system, from Nordson's Industrial Coating Systems division, is used for painting iron, wood and plastic materials.
It can spray a variety of materials, including polyurethanes, synthetic paints, bases and enamels; varnishes; liquid dyes; pastel and water- based paints; lacquers; and primers.
The gun has a lightweight aluminium body for maximum operator control and comfort, and long service life. It is simple to use, clean and maintain, and a patented, self-cleaning nozzle system means disassembly for cleaning is unnecessary.
This expansion to Nordson's liquid product line is part of "our continual effort to provide manufacturers who use liquid paint with reliable, dependable equipment and systems that can help increase their production and efficiency and deliver quality finishes and greater savings," said Ed Lash, marketing manager, Nordson Liquid Spray Systems, in a Nordson statement.
Nordson's Industrial Coating Systems unit offers powder coating and liquid spray equipment and technology, while its parent, Nordson Corp., is one of the world's leading producers of precision dispensing equipment.
Westlake-headquartered Nordson Corp. recently paid $45 million to acquire US-based TAH Industries, which makes motionless mixer dispensing systems for two-component adhesives and sealants.
