Cleveland, Ohio - Lubrizol Corp.'s Estane Engineered Polymers unit is expanding its portfolio with the addition of Isoplast Engineering Thermoplastic Polyurethane (ETPU) resins, the company said 1 Sep.
According to Lubrizol, Isoplast ETPUs "combine the toughness and dimensional stability of amorphous resins with the superior performance and chemical resistance associated with semi-crystalline resins," the company said, adding that the ETPUs are available in impact-modified, clear and glass-reinforced forms to meet the most demanding injection moulding projects.
"The addition of Isoplast ETPU capabilities and products to our existing Estane TPU product line supports our strategy of growth through geographic expansion, as it will allow us to introduce new products and technologies with already strong brand recognition in the US to international markets," said Mike Vaughn, vice president of Lubrizol Engineered Polymers.
European moulders and designers can see the Isoplast ETPUs being exhibited at the Fakuma International Trade Fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany, 13-17 Oct 2009.
The range will also be the subject a presentation: "From durable soft TPUs to reinforced ETPUs," at TPE2009, the Thermoplastics Elastomers conference in Frankfurt, Germany, on 12 Nov 2009. (RD)
