Houston. Texas-Lyondell Chemical Co.'s board has made Dave Prilutski vice president of Lyondell and president of Lyondell Europe. As well as overseeing all Lyondell and Equistar functions in Europe, Prilutski will have global responsibility for the company's styrene and isocyanate businesses.
Also, Lyondell has elected Dale Young vice president of supply chain, with global responsibility for customer fulfillment and materials and services supply.
Prilutski replaces John Beard, former president of Lyondell Europe, who has returned to the United States to accept a new assignment as senior vice president, Technology.
Lyondell has also named Dr Charles Yang chairman of Lyondell Asia Pacific, in addition to his existing post as president of Lyondell Asia Pacific. Yang will continue to provide leadership and oversight to all Lyondell and Equistar Chemicals functions in the region, from his base in Hong Kong, said the company.
Charlie Graham has been elected vice president of Lyondell Chemical Co. and executive vice president of Lyondell Asia Pacific.
"The Asia-Pacific region is strategically important for Lyondell," said Dan Smith, president and ceo of Lyondell, in a company statement. "Last year, the region generated more than $1 billion in sales, and we continue to seek additional opportunities in this rapidly developing part of the globe."
