Chomutov, Czech Republic – Tier one auto supplier, Magna has opened a seating factory here to supply BMW.
Magna opens new auto seat factory
The factory covers 6000 m2 and can produce over 130,000 seat sets/year. As the plant opened, Magna generated 150 new jobs. By the end of next year it is forecast to employ a further 150 people.
Martin Polivka, is the factory's general manager. At the opening he said: 'Our facility is using the latest technology so we can react quickly to the changing requirements of our customers'.
The company seating group has 16 manufacturing locations in Europe; five are located in the Czech Republic.
